Matias is a three-term elected official locally here in the city of San Luis, and is ready for the next step and representing not only rural communities but all of LD23 in the state legislature. He is a real estate professional, San Luis City Councilmember, and former Vice Mayor, and has lived in a border community for 20 years.
Matias prioritizes giving back and is a Make-a-Wish volunteer in Yuma. He serves in the Arizona State Association of Realtors and as a volunteer in various committees that address water, property rights, and fair housing issues.
As a longtime public servant, a passionate advocate for his community, and a business professional – Matias is dedicated to working on behalf of families in the Yuma and San Luis region. Matias resides in San Luis with his wife and is the father of four children.
